Developing Future Female Leaders – spots are starting to fill out. Yachting Victoria has received a lot of interest in these programs. If you are keen please contact Sam Watson ASAP go here to register online. This program has been designed specifically for Yachting Victoria to help women to develop and build on their leadership skills. Our hope is that this program will facilitate more women stepping up into leadership roles or volunteering for committees. There are two courses, both running at the Boatshed, Albert Park. The one-day course is on the 31st May and there is a two-night course on the 11th and 18th June.
Nominations for the 2015 OTB Marine YV Awards are now open. Nominations has been extended by 1600 hours on Monday, 11th of May. If you think of anyone suitable of nominating for Female Sailor of the Year, Youth Sailor of the Year, Junior Sailor of the Year or any of the other awards, please go here and contact your yacht club to submit the application.

Take Two for Port Phillip Women’s Championship Series Race 4 Following the abandonment of Race Day 4 of the Port Phillip Women’s Championship Series on Sunday 19 April, host club Hobson’s Bay Yacht Club (HBYC) has announced the resail of the scheduled Shirley Freeman and Senorita Cup trophy races on Sunday 17 May commencing at 1400hrs. Australian Women’s Keelboat Regatta Lecture Series leads the Way For all those hankering to find out the secrets of successful sailors, how to read the vagaries of the weather and how to keep on the right side of the rules, Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron (RMYS) is once again putting on a cracker lecture series on Wednesday evenings through April and May in the lead up to their Silver Anniversary Australian Women’s Keelboat Regatta (AWKR).
