WGIS Club Representative Forum Meet and Greet Yachting Victoria (YV) held its first Women & Girls in Sailing (WGIS) Club Representative (CR) forum for 2014-15 on 18th September at Albert Park Yacht Club. Read more about the WGIS CR forum.

VIODA Girls Only Opti Weekend VIODA held their annual VIODA Girls Only Weekend at BRYC over the 13th and 14th of September in clear skies and light breeze. The sun was a welcome addition to the weekend. Read more about the weekend.


Women and Girls in Sailing Developing Future Female Leaders Yachting Victoria will continue to run leadership courses for adults after the success from autumn. Yachting Victoria can confirm the next course will be on Sunday 12th October at The Boatshed (3 Aquatic Dr, Albert Park). The cost is $125. Please email Sam ASAP on to express interest as we have limited spots left.

Women and Girls in Sailing Youth Leadership Day Yachting Victoria plan to have a youth girl leadership day on the 25th October at the Boatshed at Albert Park. The aim is to assist youth girls to further develop their own leadership skills and become leaders within the sailing community and at their club. To read more about the day.


Sarah Blanck Perpetual Trophy Regatta There is now over 20 Laser and Sabre sailors registered for the Sarah Blanck All-Female regatta to be held on November 8 and 9 at Westernport Yacht Club.

WYC are now opening registrations to girls who are members of Yachting Westernport clubs who would like to compete in the regatta in the Optimist class. Registrations are capped at 20. Click here to enter.

Vic Laser Association Women & Girls Coaching Sessions The Victorian Laser Association and Victorian Laser coach Mark Tonner-Joyce are pleased to advise the second Women and Girls coaching session will be held at Sandringham Yacht Club on Sunday 12 October commencing at 9am.
