An old Mercedes (see picture below) I had in Hobart is now in Melbourne and we’ll be starting to prep her for this event in the next week.
The Variety Bash is Australia's largest (and favourite!) motoring event with participants travelling to rural parts of Australia that they would otherwise not see, at the same time raising money for disadvantaged and special needs children.
Variety – the Children’s Charity delivers EVERY MONTH, over $1 Million in individual and organisational equipment grants across the country, filling the gaps often left by governments and other organisations. Variety is often a family’s last resort to secure equipment vital to their children’s wellbeing.
As every entrant has to raise a minimum of $7,500, to participate, we are asking for donations to this fantastic cause. We’re not expecting our friends and family to cover the lot so would really appreciate any donations even a small donation $10, $20 or $50 to this wonderful cause.
It should be noted that preparation, fuel, accommodation and food costs will be covered by us and NOT by Variety so any contribution toward these costs would also be appreciated
Thank you to those HBYC members and friends who have already donated a total of $4156.70 as at 5pm 30 March.
